DigiTise! Digital Toolkit for 50+ Teachers

DigiTise! is an Erasmus+ strategic partnership in adult education (2021-2023), involving six institutions from Romania, Greece, Ireland, Germany, and Poland. The project addressed the urgent need for teachers, particularly those aged 50 and above, to adapt to online teaching during the pandemic.

Overall Objective: The project aimed to elevate the quality of online education by providing the teaching community, especially those aged 50 and above, with the necessary toolkit to maintain the excellence of their courses in the digital space.

Its main focus was to enhance digital literacy and skills among elderly teachers through three key objectives:

  1. Digital Tools Training:

    • 15 digital tools were introduced in training sessions, emphasizing practical application in online classrooms.
    • Knowledge transfer was maximized through mobility, enabling partner institutions’ teachers to share expertise with the target group.
  2. Handbook of Digital Practice:

    • A comprehensive handbook containing 45 digital practice exercises was developed.
    • The handbook covered a general digital toolkit outline, practical exercises, tasks, assignments, and guidance for integrating the toolkit into online courses.
  3. MOOC Courses for Digital Literacy:

    • 10 MOOC courses were designed to enhance digital literacy, starting from basic levels.
    • The courses aimed to bridge gaps in digital competences, transforming teachers into intermediate users of educational devices.
